Lebanon’s beach season kicks off in style at La Plage

BEIRUT: Beach-lovers got the chance to discover the latest trends in beachwear and accessories during an event hosted by La Plage in Beirut Friday.

Now that Lebanon’s beach season has begun in full force, Lebanese beachgoers compete for the best look to adopt while lazing in the sun at the country’s trendiest beach venues and resorts.

“A number of Lebanese designers came together at La Plage in celebration of the beach,” one of the organizers, Elizabeth Khawli, told The Daily Star. “We wanted the beach season to kick off in style.”

Local designers and artisans gathered at the seaside venue to showcase their latest beach-related creations. Caftans, swimwear, beach bags, footwear and jewelry were on display. Dozens of fashionistas hit La Plage to discover the latest styles in a bid to be the trendiest at their next beach outing.

Lebanese brands such as Mojo Beachwear showcased stylish and modern swimwear and models wore jewelry and accessories by Saifi Village’s L’Atelier Nawbar.

The fashion show also catered to men. Trunk, a new concept store totally dedicated to menswear and men’s interests, displayed swimwear, accessories and hats.
